Jim Dewdney was born and raised in Penticton. He was called to the Bar in 1984 and has practised with our firm since that time.

Tyrone Duerr received a first class honours degree in political science from the University of Victoria in 1994. He obtained his law degree from Dalhousie University in 1997 and articled with Boyle and Company from 1997 to 1998. Tyrone was an associate of Boyle and Company from 1998 until he became a partner in 2005.
Since his call to the British Columbia Bar in 1998, Tyrone has practiced primarily in the areas of criminal, personal or accidental injury, insurance , municipal and estate law. He has appeared with or on behalf of his clients in all levels of court in British Columbia and handled criminal and personal injury matters for clients within the jurisdictions of British Columbia and Alberta and criminal matters in the Yukon. He has over twelve years experience prosecuting drug, immigration, tax and criminal offences on behalf of the federal crown and utilizes that experience to assist those persons charged with such offences.
Tyrone has assisted and continues to assist many clients with complicated injury claims within British Columbia, Alberta and Washington State, involving ICBC and various other insurers. He has represented clients that have suffered severe physical and psychological trauma and injury including post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, amputations, severe burns and disfigurement secondary to collisions or explosions, multiple complicated fractures requiring surgical fixation, severe internal injuries and a variety of complicated syndromes including fibromyalgia syndrome, chronic pain syndrome and thoracic outlet syndrome. He has brought claims against commercial haulers, nightclubs, uninsured motorists in BC and Alberta and assisted plaintiffs with claims involving ICBC's Underinsured Motorist Protection plan. He has also pursued several disability insurers for wrongfully withholding benefits from clients, successfully securing reinstatement of benefits, lump sum payouts and payments in settlement of legal costs and aggravated damages.
Tyrone was raised in Penticton and is a proud alumnus of Snowden Elementary School, Princess Margaret Junior Secondary and Penticton Secondary School. He is an avid kiteboarder and fly fisherman, though he also enjoys mountain biking, travelling and spending time in the beautiful Okanagan outdoors.

Erik Lund is a partner with the firm who practices in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death, family law, and general litigation. Erik graduated first in his class (summa cum laude) from Whittier Law School in Orange County, California in 2000. He was called to the State Bar of California in 2001 and the Law Society of British Columbia in 2007.
Although Erik grew up in Penticton, he began his legal career in Orange County, California with one of the most respected personal injury law firms in the United States. This provided him the opportunity to learn about personal injury and product liability ligation on the most serious cases from some of the top trial lawyers in the United States.
From there he moved to a boutique constitutional law firm, where his practice included representing municipalities, county governments, police officers and prosecutors in complex constitutional litigation throughout the State of California. Erik has defended police officers in matters ranging from claims of false arrest through allegations of wrongful shootings. He has also represented municipal and county governments in administrative and internal affairs hearings involving the termination of police officers and deputy sheriffs.
In 2006 Erik and his wife Stephanie moved from Orange County to Penticton. While with Boyle & Co. Erik has acted for private clients in litigation matters, including personal injury claims, wrongful death claims under the Family Compensation Act, family law litigation, estate litigation, and construction law.
Erik has conducted trials in Supreme Court and Provincial Court of British Columbia as well as the Superior Court of California. He has successfully argued dispositive motions in the United States District Courts for the Southern District of California and the Central District of California. He has previously acted as a federal prosecutor for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada and a pro bono Deputy District Attorney for the Orange County District Attorney’s office.
Outside of the practice of law, Erik enjoys training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He holds a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu from the Carlson Gracie lineage and was the 1997 super heavy weight Canadian champion. Erik also enjoys working his Belgian Malinois, Django, in the competitive dog sport of I.P.O.
After graduating from Pen-Hi in 1974, Bill obtained a BA from Montana State University, followed by law school at Queen's University.
